I made my own bracket out of aluminum stock that bolts to the back of the stock light in side the fender...NO DRILLING. A little engineering, but achieved the look I was searching for. Not sure how you did yours Luxe.

Go look underneath your fender and you will see a support strut that runs horizontally (rivit points) from side to side to give the fender rigidity. The aluminum strut runs behind that up to the tailight mounting points. I also "Zip-tied" the tag bar to that. A little wiggle for and aft but it's not going anywhere!
I'll take a pic of the template I made and do some sketches to try and illustrate. The wife is gone TDY for a week and she took my camera with her...so it will be a little while.
