Plastic license plate holder, back, whatever.
I have a 2008 FXDF and I can’t stand the license plate mount, I’m not really interested in the side mounts, so what is the best way to get rid of this hideously cheap looking piece of crap and still be able to mount my license plate. I suppose what ever would work on a FXDWG would work on a FXDF. I’m kinda intrigued by the Eliminator™ Tail Light Assembly from CycleVisions. Anyone have any experience with this?

RE: Plastic license plate holder, back, whatever.
Very nice, it would look great on my FXDL and I might consider it for that. However the problem I have is w/the whole Taillight/License Plate holder assembly on my FXDF. That just won't work on the bobbed fender.
You could check out the chrome license plate holder from haulenass and see if they make any for the Fat Bob. Good Luck. As for me I don't mind the plate holder on my Fat Bob.
I put one from joker on my wide glide. Tucks in nice and sweet under that sexy bobtail fender. I had to get a new tail light, and went with an led oval. The install is a pain though, and the screws are only accessible on the inside of the fender. I think it worth it though.
I changed out my taillight for the HD smoked with LED. Ithen took off the reflector portion which does make it a couple inches smaller and makes it not stand out so much. I will try to find me a decent license plate bracket and be done with it. Check out custom dynamics. They have a nice one that cleans up the *** end real nice. I just hated to dump that much $$$ when I got other projects higher on my list.
