'96 Fatboy Losing Power
I have a 96' Fatboy with 26k on her. She runs great for a while then if I accelerate too fast or am going up a hill she'll lose power. Once it happens if I keep it at a quarter throttle it is good but past that it sputters and lurches regardless of gear and when I rev the engine in neutral. Once it sits for a bit,usually overnight, the problem goes away until I'm heavy on the throttle again. Has anyone run into a similar issue? How do I fix it?

What part or parts do you mean by "Ignition"
Tell us how this played out...
Did you pay a mechanic to fix this issue?
Did he not troubleshoot the issue?
Did he do the cheap, simple stuff first, like remove the petcock and check the screen?
Is the petcock working correctly?
Was the condition of the battery and charging system checked?
Was the carburetor disassembled and cleaned?
Back to you......
