I've got an 06 Deluxe and just put on my Sissy Bar. Just noticed the top of the license plate bracket is slightly higher than the rear fendor rack . Any Deluxe riders out there -- is this OK or did you have to install the Layback license plate ? Also, what type of Rack Bag are you using ?
Thanks HarleyDad,
I'd still like to know if I need the Layback version, but if I do need it I'll certainly buy the model you just linked me to -- it's cleaner than the Harley version.
Trust me it is the only one that will allow you to use a "T-Bag" on the back/rest sissy bar.
We have a deluxe. I even called the factory. They said that they [HD] did not have anything that would correct the problem.
They had absolutly no answer. I told them that the engineering dept. dropped the ball on that one!!!!
i'm not sure what you're referring to here...i have an 05 deluxe with detachable backrest and 2-up rack. My rack doesn't touch the license plate or holder. It works great with a passenger and t-bag.
