Can anyone with an '06 or newer Softail with a bobtail rear fender (as pictured) get me a reasonably accurate measurement between the rear fender struts, or the width of the fender? I'm wanting to put that style fender on my Dyna. There was a similar fender on older Dyna Wide Glides, but it was considerably narrower. Obviously I'll need to do some significant modifications to make it fit my bike.

 

Inside the fender opening is 8 7/8.

 

Excellent, thank you. I measure mine just slightly narrower than that. If need be I can remove a thin section down the middle to make it work.
