Ignition switch
I have an 08 Heritage. Had a bit of an electrical prob. Traced it down and it turned out to be the ignition switch loosing contact (it's on the gas tank). I took off the snap ring and opened the switch. Found that one of the springs (that apply pressure to the contact tab) had come out and the tab wasn't making a solid connection. Put it back together and all is well.
Question: are these switches meant to be repairable or should I replace it because the repair probably won't last too long?

I replaced mine about 5 years ago. It wasn't expensive. Downside is I never got around to replacing the fork lock, even tho the replacement switch came with that. So, different key
It’s not really hard to clean but if you park it outside then I would keep a cover on the bike. If you really wanna ditch the switch for a cool option look into digital guard dawg keyless ignition
