Default 03 Softail Deuce Crankshaft Sensor Connector

Hey everybody, help me locate where the Crankshaft Sensor connector is located. The service manual says it is behind the voltage regulator, but when I look, I think it runs the whole way to the computer? What gives? The only replacement I find is the short 6 inch sensor?

It's #8 in the diagram...

It's the thing that always gets in the way when you chnage the oil filter....

Thanks for replying. I am having a hard time understanding where the end connection is. Harley says I need a 5” crankshaft sensor and it looks a lot longer then that to connect it up properly. Does this 03 have to be spliced in?

I haven't had to change one yet... but I don't believe any splicing is needed... follow the wire...

Here is what the part looks like

On both my softails, an '01 w/carb and '03 EFI, that connector is on the engine side of the bracket (#10) where the voltage regulator is mounted, next to (and above) the voltage regulator (#20) & Stator (#21) connector....

Looks to be a simple mount, plug, and play replacement..
