Had a 2007 Deuce and loved it but now have a 2010 fat boy and would never go back. Not that there is anything wrong with either bike but the fat boy is a real cruiser ride. In my opinion much more comfortable and better ride. You will learn to love the floor boards and the big tires. It is all up to you. Ride both ( not just sit on them) look, walk away and look again. Go home, think, go back and look some more. Then make your choice. Then get back here and post some pics!!!!!

Didn't read all the other posts but I have to say that one time I had to drive a friends Fatboy home for her and I felt like I was driving a bus!

I like my Deuce!

I am currently riding an 03 Deuce and find the bike to be really comfortable. However on a ride longer than about 400km it does start to wear a bit thin. A change of seat and bars would fix this.

Forget the Deuce, they don't make that model anymore and when they did they didn't make many accesories to support it like the other Softails...it's an odd ball, love it or hate? ...(they ain't making them anymore does that answer it?), The Duece morphed into the Rocker, another odd ball, go with the Fatboy...

Cricket...interesting view, and I totally agree. I bought a 2003 Deuce and have regretted it ever since. Not that it is a bad bike, I'm just tired of looking at accessories I like only to read "fits all Softails except for the Deuce". I swapped out the front end for an FLST kit, I like the look and ride much better.
