RE: Absolute essentials for tool box - recommendations pls
I haven't found a tool bag/pouch/etc. that I like for the Heritage yet but my kit is still together from my old Ironhead. One trick I found useful was carrying duct tape and electrical tape. Instead of carrying a roll I wrap the allen wrenches that I carry with electrical tape. Also, I always carry a spare bulb or 2. I wrap the glass part withducttape so that I have duct tape if I need it and it keeps the glass from breaking.I always carry JB Weld quick-setting formula.
One other thing that I do is to keep the old spark plug wires that I replaced from a tune-up. I keep the longer of the 2 wires in my tool bag so that in the event that I have one fail, that onewire will work on either side in a pinch.

Bought one from CRUZ had to change out a few of the tools to make it more "personal" Best thing along with a Credit Card. A bit pricy but has paid for itself a few times over.

Gonna sound dumb, but how about a fully charged cell phone.
It doesn't have to be in the tool box, just gotta be there.
Second on the Cruz tools, like geno3j said, not cheap but decent quality tools none the less. Or you can make your own up from your "garage stash". If your like me and seem to "collect" tools you should have a surplus of them laying around. Get a good look at some of the kits and see if you can duplicate it from your own stock.

Thats a great idea. Since I have 2 of just about everything I will have to do that. I know from a friend that a plug kit and compressor can come in handy too. I have a flash light with a compressor on it 12v powered and I put a 12vplug on my battery under the seat.
