Default 98 Heritage Springer Riser Help

I have a 1998 Heritage Springer, and one of the risers has a stripped top clamp that previous owner did a bad job putting a helicoil in. Additionally, the bushings were worn the the point of crumbling.

I cannot seem to find a set of 4" risers that fit over the stud/bushing combination. Before I order a new set of studs and bushings, I want to be able to find a set of risers that will work with them, and the two sets that I have purchased that are supposedly for springers have holes that are much too shallow/narrow to fit the bushings and stud.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Try Ronnie’s parts Fitch for correct P/N and search Google and eBay. Plenty of used ones out there but be prepared to pay for them. I found several sets in the last 5 months. G.

Thanks man. I've been keeping an eye out. The only sets I find on Ebay have stripped top clamps too and they want $70 for them. I was really hoping that *somebody* had made a replacement for them that wasn't made out of pot metal.

I’m hesitant on eBay after two bad experiences lately. Same deal stripped top bolts or no caps. Still waiting on money return from one of them. Good luck.

Check with Wild1. I ordered a stubby but remember seeing a 3 or 4" riser for the Springer. They are not cheap but these OEM just wont hold the bar tight without stripping.

I looked at them and they don't appear to make a taller one than the stubby that bolts directly to the springer top clamp.

$300 for the stubbys. I guess if the replacement top triple tree doesn't work out then I can look at a set of them, I'll have to have a whole new set of custom handlebars made to account for the difference and that sorta sucks.

$$$$$

What was HD thinking? Such a terrible design on these risers.

I hate to say it, but Wild 1 was the route I went with (see pic in sig) and yeah, it's a lot of money, but nothing Springer is easy to find or cheap. That said, I'd buy them again tomorrow if I needed to. They fixed all my issues I ever had.
