Default Cobra Fatty Engine Guard

Hello new member here.....
Just picked up a used 07 Fatboy. I installed the Cobra Fatty crash bar in chrome last night. Part# 601-2200 that is a match for my FSTLF. Nice quality and all the holes aligned perfect. Looks nice too.... only thing I noticed is the mount top of the bar runs into the frame about an 1/8th of an inch before it’s seated flush so there’s a thin gap. Had the bar been a tad shorter it would have fit snug in a knotch in the frame created under the brace and over a support. Is this normal? I’ll post some pics tomorrow.

You could see the bolt and gap in between the frame and top mount of bar. The bar is hitting the frame so it’s not getting any tighter.

Welcome to the forum from central Texas.

Add a thin spacer or a washer or two between the engine guard and frame so the guard doesn't contact the frame and it snugs up nice and tight.
