2007 Heritage Softail - Good buy?
A small introduction: I am from The Netherlands and will stay for one year in Jacksonville, Florida. During my time here I would love to ride a Harley to go touring on the weekends, which I can import home after a year. I am looking on a little advise for potentially buying a 2007 Heritage Softail: LINK.
Which I will go and check out this afternoon.
It seems like in really good condition with low mileage, and it was serviced last June at a HD dealer. Do you think this is a reasonable price? Any specific things I should be aware of when buying a 2007 Softail?
Thanks a lot!

It seems a bit expensive but you can always negotiate.
KBB average retail if bought from a dealer is $8210.00.
NADA average retail is $7365.00.
Neither price accounts for options or add-ons.
If you do get it, I suggest a saggy bags kit to make those saddlebags look like new. Good luck!
Will see how it goes; saw plenty of other good options around (but this color is really cool as well).
Appreciate the advice!

Other than the usual when buying any bike, these were pretty solid. You need to check age of tires, when the brake fluid was changed, plugs, wires, battery age etc. If it needs this / these you can be looking at a 1000 dollar bill
You need to SEE what was serviced (He has the invoice?) - I looked at bike where 'serviced' meant air in the tires and lubed cables....
GOOD LUCK and keep us posted!!!

Not a "special edition Harley", but rather look like custom covers. They offer them for all branches of service...
Be advised a new OEM derby cover is about $60, the OEM cam chest timing cover is about $20, and new OEM air cleaner cover $60.... aftermarket or HD custom covers run more, Derby - $75+, timing cover- $30+, Air cleaner- $80+
Also, the kits to fix those bags, good ones anyways are over $100, and new bags, if available, are big bucks... $400+ per bag.
Not a ton of $$ to change out, but every little bit adds up... especially if you need to change out the exhaust too...
Good luck with your shopping...
