You can also get the Cyco replacement tensioner shoes from Cyco Gasket, a little cheaper than through Twin Power...

Yeah, I checked that out but was still unsure if both shoes are the same inner & outer? I need to get that done, and check the primary chain tension.
But I was just out on the FatBoy and damn, does it run good and make me grin! That is just a flat a FUN bike to ride !!!!!!!!!! Oh, yeah!

so, update:
put it all back together, went for a ride. it was real tough to start with some excess grind noise at the begining. but it did start, rode around town. the battery and engine light came on after 20 minutes or so. regulator? (aka, new problem)
took the battery in to the store to get tested, tests perfect, not the battery.
today, go to start it, terrible grinding sound, turns over, but doesnt start. then i realize, while i had her open the other day, i was so jacked on finding the loose chain, that i totally forgot to look at the compensator nut. dumbass...
take the cover off again, and the comp nut is barely hanging on. can spin it with my fingers. compensator teeth were barely overlapped. could tell oil had microscopic filings in it. but the teeth look ok, not excessively worn. tiny bit of wear on the backside of the cover
so. red loctite with 75 fl-lbs of torque, then another 45 degrees?
or since im in here, would you guys recommend doing something else?

That's correct....

Use red locktite on the bolt, after cleaning both the bolt and the bolt hole...

Torque to 75 f tlbs, then an additional 45° to 50°... not to exceed 50°
