Just signed up to the forum and I need some help! My bike threw a 262 code,I've changed injectors, coil, plugs and wires.Checked for broken or frayed wires from injector and everything seems to be intact. Still not fueling the front cyclinder. I have fire to the plug but no fuel. This is got me stuck. Any help would be appreciated.
Based on what you have done..... If you have verified proper fuel pressure is being delivered to the fuel rail, the rear injector is functioning properly, you believe the front injector is good (new), and the wires/connectors between the ECM and Injector are good... The only thing left to check is the pulse at the injector, telling it to fire...
Have you checked to see if you are getting the electronic pulse to the front injector.....? You can use a noid light... they're pretty cheap.
If the pulse is being sent to the injector, you'll have a bad new injector (it happens) or something is broken/blocked in the fuel rail (#27651-06)....
If no injector pulse is being sent to the front injector, I would double check the connector at the fuel injector to ensure you didn't force a pin to bend, and miss its contact when replacing the connector. If that is verified to be good..... then you need to check the output from the ECM, to verify it's sending the pulse to the injector
Pulse from ECM, bad wiring/connectors...
No pulse from ECM, bad ECM...
I don't have that year ECM softail, so I don't have the electronic diagnostic manual or schematics, to identify where (which pin) to check on ECM for you...
Someone may chime in with that info, or you can research to find your schematics for your bike's electrical system.
