Default Apes and windshield combo

I hate to ask because I know a lot of folks say stick with the drag bars on a Night Train. But I’ve gotta put some apes on it. It’s a 2006 Train and I think I want the Wild 1’s 14” Outlawz. I’ve got a Harley windshield on it now and I needed it a bit taller so I got one of the windshield extensions for it. Works great but looks awful.
What’s the best looking windshield that will be tall enough for me that would fit with the 14” bars? Thanks.

Probably not a ton of help, but it's all I have for you. A few months ago I put Wild 1 Chubby 10 inch Outlawz on my 2002 Fat Boy. I don't use it much but my windshield is HD hardware with a Long Ride Shields recurve.
It works fine and looks about as good as I figure it'll get for a detachable windshield.
The height and whether it will cause any buffeting or not is going to vary from bike to bike and rider to rider. But I really believe the recurve helps.

I have a 2008 FXSTC with the 14” Outlaws and a 19” Clearview Shield with the recurve and the wider version that they offer. It works really good for me.

As far as looks go I would say that windshields aren’t the best looking accessory, but it definitely helps me.

If you wanna lose a little height and retain wind protection, give one of ours a try. The recurve on the top of our shields gives you a few extra vertical inches of wind protection without having to put too tall of a shield on your bike. Clearview makes a great product as well.

@2goldens hope you're lovin your LRS™ shield! Thanks for the tag!
