Default Fatboy with Batwing Fairing

Just bought a 2015 Fatboy and i want to put a batwing fairing on it. anyone got any pictures of one with the batwing fairing? I'm trying to figure out just how tall it will sit above the (what I believe to be stock) bars. I'm only 5'5" tall and I don't want to be looking at the inside of the fairing

Because I like the Fatboy and I'm only 5'5" so a street glide isn't as comfy as I'd like it to be

Know a guy that put one on this model, an actual road frame, not a Softail. Made the death wobble look like child's play... couldn't do over 65 or 70 at best and you can't avoid the freeway.

Been done a few times I think Drag Specialties made a kit for it.

The Memphis Shades version has about 1” vertical up and down in the brackets and you can further refine that with choice of windshield height.

I have one on my Heritage

I have a batwing currently on my Fatboy. I switch between it and a windscreen, depending on my mood, and on a rare occasion, I strip it down and run it naked. If anything ever happened to the Fatboy, I might be tempted to go with a StreetGlide, but I might just build another Fatboy. I like the fact that I can completely change the bikes personality in 10 or 15 minutes. Will see if I can find some pics of it mounted, and when I get a chance I will take some measurements. I am taller than you, but I don't think you will have any issues looking over the fairing.

What would it matter if he wants a fairing on HIS Fatboy? Seems like all these "Me Too" Street and Road Glide guys think you have to have a Touring bike to have a fairing. There's a lot of guys out there that like the idea of a lil added protection, extend the riding season and even want tunes. I did a Reckless Fairing, had a 2 Competition Speaker and AMP system professionally installed. I really enjoyed the look and loved the sound. But after a while I got tired of it, just wasn't the Heritage I fell in love with when I bought it. So I swapped it back.

It's a personal choice, there's no rules saying can or can't. Nobody is telling you not to customize your bike. It's yours to do as you see fit, as well as his.
