Fuel sending unit failure.

I've got a 2002 Fatboy EFI. It's been sitting for a while and I decided to replace the fuel lines, filter, and regulator housing inside the tank.
I ordered all of what I though I'd need. And...I've come up short...
Once I got it apart, I saw I needed a lot more than just the hoses and filter.
Now I'm replacing the pump/insulator/pickup screen and the fuel pressure regulator along with the original things I listed above.
The sending unit is really bad. It won't move without excessive force.
Annnd...It looks like Harley has discontinued the 75208-02 fuel level sender with harness.....
I see some of these "Softail Fuel Sender Adapter Bracket 75307-07" kits on Ebay. Which leads me to believe there's a sending unit that can be used with them to replace the stock one.
Have any of you run into this and found a fix that works?
