After several stalling problems with my 2000 STC I replaced the coil, the 22year old coil needed to go but was not the problem.
Yesterday I was 5 miles from home when she stalled but this was different she would idle but not take any throttle without a stall in NY traffic. Five miles getting home at idle gave me time to think like you guys do.
Got her home, dropped the fuel bowl.....replaced the accelerator diaphragm, removed the 190 jet from the bowl and squirted brake fluid in all the fuel circuits.
Compressed air in all fuel routes in the bowl and fuel pump attached to the bowl. Cleaned out the gunk the compressed air pushed out.
Reinstalled everything and she runs great.
Thank you guys for training me to help myself out of these challenges of owning a Harley.
Maybe at 75 I have learned to listen more
Thanks
