Default P0134 & P0154 codes-in a 2006 Deuce?

Long time lurker, seldom a poster.... Anyhow I have a couple codes that confuse me. A 06 deuce doesn't have O2 sensors... so how is it I have these codes? Can anyone help explain that?

I have cleared the codes, and they have came back. They could be codes that have been on this bike for a long time and I simply never noticed. in 2013 or so that bike had a lot of work done to it by HD dealer using a HD tuner. Perhaps it is something off in the tune? I hate going to the dealer if I don't have to, if it it needs to go, it needs to go.

Wow, that's a head scratcher...

How did you find them...? Did those codes throw a check engine light, or were you just checking codes for another reason and discovered them?

If no check engine light, I'm guessing they are a result of the tune they used and have been there since you had the work done.

If they just recently caused the check engine light to go on, and they won't clear... I'm stumped...

Hopefully someone will post with a definitive answer for you..

Let us know what you end up doing and/or find out....

I have swapped the handlebars and lights out for LED ones and have been messing with all that. As such I checked the codes and they are there. No idea how long they were there. I cleared them and they came back. I am struggling to remember if I was told in the past by my HD dealer to ignore them or not. Say for instance I was told after the engine work to ignore these if I see them. So it could be a non-issue but my memory is failing me more than anything else. No one can help me there LOL...

I was just curious if anyone else had seen this in/on a bike before. It runs fine. But I do not know the HD SE tuner as well as most people. For all I knew there was a setting to prevent this code (to omit O2 readings for instance) or something of the sort.

Since they're not throwing a CEL, I would ignore them. You know the O2 sensors are not working, and why, so nothing is being adversely affected.

I am unaware if the O2 sensor reading (closed loop v open loop) can be turned on/off with the SE tuner, or if it is totally based on the base tune.

All custom tunes start with a base tune. It is possible they started with a base '07+ tune for your bike, which has/uses the O2 sensors (closed loop) and forgot to, or can't, change the tune to open loop...

Ride and enjoy....!

I am thinking like you are on this as well. Least I was hoping I was thinking right. Just making sure I am not missing anything, sounds like I'm on track.
