I found them, but they're 129$ Kemimoto is the MFG! Dbl Buckles, quick release they're as you described to me.
I cut one row of eyelets off the bags yesterday & they now sit perfectly. The bags are about even with the passenger pillar, which looks great.
They just throw over the fender & the one seat bolt holds them in. I put a piece of thin foam so they wouldn't touch the paint & a piece of clear tape on the chrome, just to be safe. I can remove em in 60 secs & no sign they were there.
There is NO WAY they can get anywhere near the hub so brackets would be a waste of time/money. I'll see if I can get a pic of them tomorrow, if camera will cooperate.
Here is pic of the saddle bags I mentioned above from Amazon that perfectly fit my 05 Softail Deuce with No Brackets Needed. They fit between the seat & 2 inch bullet turn signal and are high enough to not be burned by the exhaust or come anywhere near the wheel.
They are 14 in L x 11 in D x 6.5 in W. Very roomy & mount under the passenger seat & can be removed in less than a minute.
Very water resistant & hold their shape, even with heavy tools, water, etc.
About perfect for a Softail for $130. and done. As noted above, I cut one row of eyelets off on just one side to get them to the proper height.
The Cobra 6050 Slip-Ons are same height as stock.

That pic was just before I cut one row of eyelets off one side of the bags, doesn't matter which side you crop. Then, the bags sit up nice & square. Bags are big enough that I don't need a luggage rack &/or sissy bar to tie to as I don't haul the wife around, anymore, but it's nice to be able to bring something home from the store & leave the truck home. Mine are NOT the Kemimoto. Mine are the Innoglow Style-2 as I posted in the above link at $114.99 I put a piece of foam on the rear fender to keep em from shifting L or R. Those 2 inch bullet blinkers determine the max width on the Softails.
