Default 03 vs 05 Heritage Classic (differences)

The reason I am asking is I had an 05 and sold it. I went touring frame since, but now would like to get an older heritage.
I am looking at a low mileage 03 fuel injected heritage.
I know 88ci/5 speed is the same. I was wanting to know if any stator/wiring/electrical changes between 03-05

Did the 05s TC have an issue with heads?

Both years are delphi.

Could look at on line parts diagram.

I'm looking for my notes, but off the top of my head...

The 2005 Twin Cam heads changed intake valves (same as sportster) and to the beehive valve springs...?? I seem to remember they had an issue with the valve stems/seals.. I recall people didn't think they were as good as the previous ones, but I don't remember for sure, as I have an '01, '03, so only owned early 88" twin cams

They were the same castings as the other years... so..... Not that big a deal... If you want to go to a big bore and/or w/aggressive cams, just do some headwork too, I did with my '03 just on principle....

Also, I believe 2005 was the first year with cast cranks...

'99- '02 - hot forged cranks and Timken bearing

'03-'04- cold forged cranks and roller bearing

'05+ cast cranks and roller bearing.

Again, unless going big bore and big HP, not a big deal.....

But to answer your specific question, I don't believe there are any changes to the stator, wiring, or electrical.... per the online parts finder, the both use the same stator and regulator part numbers...

PS- I found this thread I saved that covers the head changes.
