De Facto Immortality!
I ride a Sportster, XL1200T Superlow, but I can appreciate where he is coming from after riding a 2022 Softail Heritage Classic Chicago to Santa Monica last April. The ride itself is pretty awesome but I very quickly got used to the Softail, it really is a great all-rounder. Handles superbly, whether it be riding those long straight stretches with a 70 mph crosswind, or the very twisty Oatman Highway, the Canadian Escarpment going to Santa Fe or the twisty mountain roads heading towards Santa Monica.
I loved it, and I certainly hope they never stop making them, until they are forced to because of the climate change laws being introduced word-wide, because future generations would really miss out. I'm sure if one was purchased at the end of the combustion engine era it would be going loooooong into the future.
I'm now 74 years old and unlikely to change my bike now but, if I did, I'd be torn between a Softail and a Sport Glide.
