Default '08 SERT

Has anyone heard when the SERTs for the '08 models are gonna be out? I was told it could be September, October, or maybe even November. I'm hoping someone else has a better idea than a three month time span. I hate riding a Harley that sounds like a Yamaha. Also, I've already noticed that it's more dangerous riding in traffic with quiet pipes than it is with loud pipes. My Deuce could be heard, but my new Custom is quiet and cars have started to switch lanes on me a few times already.

Louder pipes + brighter beam.

Ride safe.

You might just want to double check on that. Our dealer here was trying to make the SERTs for the '07s work for the '08s and it did work right. Also, on another thread someone else started, they said that V&H just recieved the information from Harley that was needed to make the FuelPaks for the '08s. Make sure your dealer is actually using a SERT for an '08 and not one for an '07. If it is one for the '08, let me know so I can talk to my dealer. My exhaust is already on order and I have a Wimmer aircleaner I'm puttin' on also. I'm just waiting for the SERT so I can have the stuff put on and Dyno'd.

I'll ask the dealer hopefully tomorrow when I go in and pick up my bike about the SERT, but I just got off the phone with V&H Fuelpak technical support (wanted to double check that the right code was gettingentered into the fuelpak)and they said that there is just a different code from the 07's to the 08's. I'll see if I can talk to a mechanic tommorow and not just the guy behind the parts counter because he doesn't know what the hells going on half the time, and then I'll let you know what they say about the SERT.

That's good news about the FuelPak. Hopefully the SERT and Power Commander won't be far behind. I would use something different, but I already had the SERT figured into my financing for the bike. I would greatly appreciate hearing what your dealer has to say about the new SERTs' arrival. Thanks
