I have an 02 softail. Big bore kit, S&s heads, S&s cams, S&s super G, S&s intake, thunderheader. Dyno’d 132hp 128 lb-ft of torque. Recently found my starter ring gear to be missing teeth. I’m looking for a new clutch basket, upgraded clutch, and compensator that will handle this hp. With so many options out there I’m looking for recommendations on a set up that others have had good luck with that won’t be overly expensive. Thanks for all the recommendations.
I have a couple big HP builds. My Bagger has a 124" w/ 135HP & 151TQ.
Both my big builds are still on the OEM clutch and basket, but have stronger spring and variable pressure plates. I don't drive them hard, thus my ability to stay OEM.... However....
When it's time for a new clutch, I plan to upgrade the primaries..
I'll be starting with an Evolution Industries clutch basket... They're not cheap, but they have been recommended to me by techs and people who's opinions I trust...
Other considerations were a Rekluse clutch & basket, as well as a Barnett Scorpion clutch & basket... They would be cheaper than the Evolution Industries set-up, but get good reviews too..
Good luck with your mods...

Thanks for the recommendations. I’m having a lot of trouble find anything in stock. Jp cycles is out of everything. And Dennis Kirk is limited.
I’m also looking for a new compensator and starter ring gear as mine has sheared teeth. I guess the ones with 102 teeth were bad about that. Any recommendations on a compensator or opinion of changing to a different tooth ring gear?
