Front cylinder intermittently dies
Black bike is givin me troubles...
FYI.....
A 2000 softail with a carb, does not have the EITMS system (engine idle temperature management system).
I believe it started on 2008 touring bikes and it's a system for EFI bikes only... and you are correct, it cuts off the rear cylinder fuel injector during certain conditions...

If it threw a check engine light, it should have thrown a code.... have you checked for codes? It is quite a dance on the older twin cams, but there is a procedure in the Electrical Diagnosis Manual.
I'm not an expert on electrical stuff... not even close.... but...
Just curious how you figured out it was the front cylinder cutting out?
If you replaced the ICM (ignition control module), the coil, the wires, and the plugs... it seems you'd have to be dealing with some sort of electrical glitch that shouldn't be restricted to the front cylinder. That could be a dirty or corroded main ignition switch, emergency stop switch, or the wires leading to/from them.
If you are positive it's only the front cylinder cutting out, and the ICM & Coil are good, I'd check the wires/connectors between the coil and the ICM...
Good luck, electrical things drive me crazy, but you have to be persistent to win...

Complete shot in the dark from left field I know but since you checked everything on the spark side, that'd lead me to looking at air/fuel next.

Obviously the carb feeds into a common manifold , can`t see it affecting only one cylinder
But strange things do happen.
