The 117 engine is a beast. Of course the definition of beast may not be appropriate for those that have tricked out bikes of lower displacement but for someone that has only ridden stock bikes (175cc - 1600cc) it's a beast.
The other pleasant surprise for me (5'6" and 160 lbs) is it's low enough for me to flat foot, the bars aren't a painful reach (solved with a pullback riser) and as long as I keep the lean when duck walking the bike at a minimum I can handle the weight. Now I just have to wait for the weather in Florida to cooperate so I can get more than an hour of riding in each day. The afternoon thunderstorms are more commonly late morning thunderstorms that last through the afternoon.
i am guessing by the grip change, you are liking the bronze ???
nice looking bike for sure...personally i could not handle the bronze nor all the different textures of the black areas...a little power coat made a huge difference in appearance
dash, fender struts, wheels, levers...along with all the other numerous bolt ons...
start looking hard, there are changes everywhere,,,just making things smooth and slick
