I want to put some wide white wall tires on my 1997 Fatboy.
What is the biggest tire I can put on the rear?
What are the brand and size codes I should buy?
Thanks for any help.
I put the standard sized Dunlop WWW tires on the wife's Heritage. I get my tires from American Motorcycle Tire in Arizona. The price is very good, and they ship to your door in less than a week. I think they were about 102.00 front and 115.00 rear with a shipping charge of 10.00 or so.
Its under construction as we speak. Im going with flat black tank and fenders and 60 spoke wheels. Also bought a Arlen Ness taildragger rear fender and virticle side license platae holder from Kuryakyn. Goin for a Rat Rod look. I'll post some pics when Im finished.
The Mt90B16 comes in a wide white wall and is the recommended tire per dunlops web site for you bike
I have an 03 heritage, the stock tire is a 150/80B16 which is a black wall only dunlop 401.
I have been using a MT90B16 Wide Whitewall which is a dunlop 402 and I believe translates to a 130/90
I see another tire MU85B16 also a 402 and I believe it translates to a 140/85
Any one see a problem running this tire?? TIA
Just fitted new front wheel along with WWWs. See pic. Bike is an 01 Fatboy with duck tail. The tyres are 130/90 Avons, also look at Metzeler ME 880s with WWWs. Both have better grip than the standard Dunlop, I had Avons on my RoadKing but the extra weight eat them too quickly, grip was great though, the ME880s have similar grip but last better.
Has anyone had any problems buying tires from American Tires? They have the Dunlop D205 200/55/17 for $114. I would like to order 2 of them so I'll have an extra tire. Every where I've looked they are on back order. My local independent said they are discontinued and the replacement tire won't be available until May.The local stealership has them on order for $178 and won't get them until the end of the week.
