P1009 - VTD Disabled fuel due to Incorrect Password
U0121 - Lost comm with ABS
Based on those codes, the second one won't cause the bike to stop running, but the first one will.
The P1009 code is usually when the ECM & BCM have not been "married", and thus cannot talk to each other. I wouldn't think just removing and reinstalling the SAME BCM would cause this...
But your DTC code says "Incorrect Password", so I gotta ask....
Did you reinstall the same BCM that you took out...??
If you did, I would disconnect the battery, let it sit for an hour or two (doesn't actually take that long, but I always err on the side of caution). During that time you should check the connections for proper contact, good pins, no corrosion, etc., etc.. Then reconnect the battery and see of the BCM & ECM will start talking again...
If they don't start talking after that reset, or you may have to go through the process of "marrying" the two modules again...
Obvioulsy, if you installed a different BCM, it won't run until you "marry" that BCM to your ECM..
I hope that helps..
NOTE:
I just read this thread on search, it may help... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/harle...ery-p1009.html
Seems in this thread the guy reset the security by pulling the security fuse while the ignition was on. Worth a try if the basic battery disconnect reset doesn't work...
