Man, I'm really starting to love this bike. It's actually not a rattle-trap at all, but I walked to the garage this morning and noticed my left-rear footpeg had disappeared. I was like, "LOL man. What the hell?!" Anyway, off to EBay.
Of course, as I'm looking at it I'm realizing I have some sort of aftermarket kit on the rear pegs. Nothing is ever easy. Parts look pretty cheap though, so I can afford a little trial-and-error.
Don't forget the Loctite ...this time ...as maybe someone before you did !!!
plus ...if the vibration is that hard ...most times the timing may be to high ...
be surprised how much smoother retarding just a few degrees will make it .
My 83 Shovel Wideglide that I bought in '84 - If you held the front brake when stopped for a period of time, your headlight bulb died. Thats a rattle trap. Glad I still have it... Think of it this way, now you can retorque and re-loctite everything on the Heritage. Its a 3 beer, 2 slice/1 cigar effort..

good luck ..
Thanks. It actually hardly vibrates at all. I just thought it was kinda funny that the footpeg was missing.
My 13 Heritage I bought new has never been to the dealer for any work. And never anywhere else for and repairs. I’ve done all maintenance. Zero problems. Footboards still attached lol
