Greetings -
I live in Italy, since few weeks I am proud owner of a Y2009 Softail Heritage Classic that I enjoy riding (and customizing).
While riding, I keep touching the exhaust pipe with the rubber heel of my right boot with the result of black smears of burnt rubber that are very hard to remove.
I started looking around the web for a suitable heel guard but am not able to find any type that will fit the 'halfmoon' shaped board
I noted the type #1210R sold by Carl @ heelguard .com, that could have been a perfect choice either for function and style but the site seems no longer active
Truly appreciate any suggestion for buying a guard or shield that will fit my right halfmoon board
Best Regards
I need them also But, a little off subject I've found the best solution to remove hill marks on hot pipes, WD-40 A copper penny & a soft rag, worked for me.

thank you very much for your suggestion, to clean the burnt rubber from the pipes I use alcohol but not thought to try WD40, I am going to give it a try
All the Best
I admit not having the skills and tools to make one ... honestly speaking I very much prefer a heat shield professionally made that could fit the vintage and chrome look of my bike
Something like these were sold on 'heelguard.com' or by 'brukus.com' unfortunately no longer available
The HD 'plate-like' model with the bar-and-shield logo in the rear has a nice looking, unfortunately is stated not fitting the halfmoon footboards
Thanks, I have noted the heel shields sold on Amazon but these seem to have the same mounting lips/holes of the HD ones that according to the description do not fit the halfmoon footboards without making some drilling / tapping ... maybe users here in the forum indeed have made the adaptation and can show how should be made?
Here she is
I think halfmoon boards were the original equipment on this model year
You may note on the right side I have added an oval-shaped heat shield on the exhaust pipe near the footboard
Unfortunately it is not long enough at the rear and I occasionally still touch the pipe with my right boots heel
