I've put 12,000 miles on my FXST since buying it in Aug 2005. I've been washing it with Mequires car soap. I rince it thoroughly first, then wash with the soap. Give it a thorough rinse, dry with a leaf blower and then wax. I wax the painted parts and the chrome. I haven't put much effort into the cooling fins on the engine - but it still looks good for 12,000 miles. The underside has some grease stains. I might try the S-100. Want to get one of those Air Blaster Dryers soon as the budget allows. I tell you - keeping plenty of wax on the paint has saved me numerous times from splashed gasoline and so forth - wipes right off and doesn't penetrate.
