This is the truth, if you have the funds to do the back as well, the combo will transform your ride. I absolutely love the set-up
Again: I concur! If you do go with the rear (Progressive 422), get the RAP version, unless you never take passengers, or carry luggage. If you need to adjust the preload for different weights, the RAP makes it a piece of cake.
The tin and headlight and assy bar does not have to be removed The pinch bolts are accessible. Forks are out.
What type of HD fork oil do you recommend.? The regular, Type E or Heavy.
The monotubes only need oil for lubrication. The Progressive instructions tell you what type, and how much, to use. IIRC, it's the regular weight fork oil, but I don't remember the quantity specified.

When I did mine, I went ahead and ordered this. The tubes will definitely eliminate a lot of front end nosedive while braking. You're going to really enjoy them. Like @Clammy said, if your application requires frequent changes, spend the extra on the RAPs. Worth their weight in gold.
Yes, the quality looks better than HD or others I looked at.
We went for a run about 6 months ago and I was leading and we came up on railroad tracks. It was an optical illusion on the other side of the tracks. I went airborne for about 2-3 seconds because it dropped on the owner side of the track base and the landing was not bad but the suspension had me all over the place. The WTF came out after it was over.
The pucker factor was about an 8/10.
Just like anything else it was fun until someone gets hurt.
I can use the regular fork oil or the heavy. Does anyone have the heavy in their forks and if so does it does effect the fork action of the Progressive monotubes?

The Progressive instructions specify what type and how much to use. Pretty sure it's just regular weight, but I don't remember the amount. It's just for lubrication. It doesn't affect the operation of the front suspension.
