Throtle Conversion from Cable to Wire
I have a Fatboy Lo 2010 96Bci, and have a project to put Ape Gangster Handlebar on it. I love the clean look of the handlebar, so I am installing a Hydraulic Clutch system, to get the internal lines on LH Side, but on the RH Side, I have Throtle by cables. I was wondering if some one already did the conversion from Throtle by cable to Throtle by wire. I need some help on wire harness, throtle body replacement, and ECM. Thanks.
Internal Throttle Assembly – Exile Cycles
I have the Exile unit on my Wide Glide for over 10 years, no issues works great. They are all just copies of what HD did back in the day with the solid wire controls for Linkert carbs, no new ground to be broken here.
But worth the effort, cleans up your bars, make it happen.
switches on both handlebars, a new ECM with TBW connectors, all of the TBW harnesses
as well as a new TBW throttle body unit...
If you can do it - great, but that's a pretty big undertaking for electronic throttle. Added
benefit would be electronic cruise control...
As recommended above, use the Exile kit...
