I would say stick with the stock fatbot solo seat, thats what I think fits the fatboy.
Jeff
Funny....When I bought the FB from a fellow inNY, he also gave me all the OEM equipment that came with it after his upgrading spree.
I had the orginal (brand new) seat stuck in the shed and the crazy thing , I was trying to unload itforpitance .....$75.
I washed the bike yesterday and feeling motivated I dug the seat out of the shed and put on.
(I unscrewed the passenger seat postand put the solo seat on.)
It does look good....I will post a few pics later.
I will ride like this for a while until I figure it out....I just might like it.
I like Danny Gray. I have the Speed Cradle model which has a low profile and a narrow build but with some lumbar support. On long rides I sit further back so there is more cushion.
I thought I would share this as therewas a bit of dicussion about the La Pera bare bones seat above.
If you have a 2007 or newer fat boy w/ 200 mm rear tire the La Perabare bones seat does not look like the shorty bar hopper style seat on the web site. The bare bones seat for the 07 and 08 softail's climbs up the rear fender considerably more than the earlier models.
I actually got caught on this on my 08. Pics below. The shorty style barebones seat that is pictured on the website and that alot of you have in my opinion looks much better than mine. Disappointed really. I contacted La Pera told them that the site is somewhat misleading.....they fixed it today and have burried the 07 and up barebones deep in the softail pics. They pretty much offered no other solution than an apology.
mammothchoppers is what i have.Extremely comfortable even on long runs.Have had mine now for over a year and no wear.great seat. And as Anubiss stated i do love it.
I second what Rick said. I have the Ice Age Solo. My butt could not have been more comfortable on the 2600 mile Sturgis trip.
 \\;
How do you feel about the seat now? \\; I went on a 300 mile ride today and the stock seat killed my @$$! \\; Do you still recommend the Ice Age Solo or any of the other seats they sell?
I have the Bare Bones on my 05 Springer Classic.......I'm 6'0 and have the 2" floorboard extenders.
I \\;haven't even thought about putting the stock seat back on after the bare bones went on. \\; The BB brought me back and
down.........much more comfy. \\; Numerous 200 - 250 mile days \\;in total comfort......maybe cause the floorboard extenders gives me a few different foot positions so I can change my foot position around whenever my legs get a little stiff.

Got thousands of miles on it and still love it. I'll be doing Sturgis on it again this year. No offense to the Bare Bones riders, but it blows it away in comfort (it replaced a Bare Bones with gel).
