Default RE: Longer Trips on the Night Train

I've done a couple of long road trips on my Night Train: last summer - 3000 miles/9 days, last month - 2600 miles/6 days. These trips included many 500+ mile days, a 600+ mile day and an 800+ mile day. No problems for me. On the really long days, I was tired, and my butt hurt a bit, but nothing I would even give a second thought to. Now, I ditched my stock Badlander seat before those trips, hehehe... I also ride my bike daily, and regularly put in 200+ mile days for the fun of it.

Cheers!

Default RE: Longer Trips on the Night Train

Just got my new Mustang Vintage soloin this afternoon~ Swapped it out with the Badlander on my lunch break and so far I'm diggin it~ Won't be able to give a good opinion on the comfort end of it until I get in a good ride~ The fact that it is a bit wider then the stock, Badlander, seat makes the visual effect of it take some getting used to~ It does tend to sit me up a little higher and a little more forward on the tank, but not so bad that it effects my riding possition to an uncomfortable level~ So right now I don't have any complaints on this seat... and hope I never do~ Well... let me take that back~ The only thing I don't like about it is the mounting~ Instead of bolting to the back fender, like most seats, this one uses the last bolt of the fender brackets(?)~ Which makes changing from one seat to the other a bit more of a chore~ Now I have to break out the torx, rather then just turning the one fender bolt with a screw driver~ That's my only complaint on it~ Because of this, I'm likely to just leave the Vintage seat on and get rid of the Badlander later on down the road~ Only time will tell...
