I had a 2015 slim that gave me fits, shutting down while cruising along, not starting, lights flashing on and off. It turned out to be the on/off switch on the tank. After I replaced that, I had no problems. It got to a point over time where it would start sputtering, lights flashing where I could wiggle that switch around and either correct it, or cause it.

Never mind my initial response, I misread the year of your bike.... I thought it said "2005"....

The BCM that I bought from ebay has the same axis and the same model number I think that I may have to have it paired with the ECM.

Any thoughts from you guys.

Last thing I do have my Pro Street Tuner and the software can I use this to try and fix the issue?

What diagnostics lead you to believe you needed a BCM?

Any diagnostic codes?

To specifically answer your question, any time you change an ECM or BCM, there is a required procedure. I believe Harley calls it a "Password Learn" procedure, needed for proper communications between the two modules.

It can be done by the dealer's computer (Digital Tech II), an independent shop or friend with a TechnoResearch Centurion Pro diagnostic tool, or there may also be a customer manual entry procedure, rather long and specific, like with the old TSSM. I'm just not sure about a customer procedure for the BCM..

What lead me to the conclusion that it was the BCM is that I checked the wiring harness and found nothing wrong with any of the wires. The BCM that I bought from ebay when hooked up the bike starts correctly. The original BCM when hooked up starts the bike with everything in the off position.
