Aux. Light Help...PUULLEEZZZEEE!
I'm stuck like the guy in a "B" version of a science fiction movie where I have to cut "the" right wire, or ELSE! Seriously, I just mounted an Auxillary Passing Lamp kit on my 2006 Fatboy. HD instructions read like a first graders attempt with typos and total confusion. Anyway, the last thing I have to do according to them is to "cut the yellow wire inside / behind the head lamp and splice it into a lead to the auxillary switch (which I've already mounted). Do not cut into the Black or White wire and when the head lamp comes on, so will the aux. lamps".
Great no problem except..THERE ARE TWO YELLOW WIRES IN THERE.
Which one do I cut into? Anyone who has been here...please help.

The yellow wire is the wire that supplys the voltage.The white wire is like the ground. If you can get the use of a voltmeter,you can check the yellow wires,but they are probably both hot. Pick one,and use it.

Look on the back side of the triple tree near the neck. There may be a yellow lead there you can use, then you don't need to open the headlight or cut any wires. My '06 had this wire with a black cap on it so it would not short out. I think it is a male spade terminal.
