Mate the FATBOY is one cool bike a mans bike not an old mans bike
They look naff with saddle bags windscreen and all those driving lights
But look cool with apes
Get the fat ones
I have 13" 1.1/2 bars with 1.1/2 risers they look way cool and wide 42 inches
Everybody who sees my bike loves the look others have already copied the ones I put on
Make sure they are FAT not skinny little 1" bars that looks naff
Very comfy Go for it
As the saying goes

She's probably afraid you're going to look too cool.As far as comfort I had beach bars before and find the apes to be more comfortable.I've never experienced the numbness in the hands like some of the haters talk about.
