Hello and thanx for your kind response. I'm doing fine, though still uncertain balance wise. Great to hear your up and about and achieving your goals. I'm still baffled with my attempt to convert/remove forward controls. I can see quite plainly problems with the huge foot brake and master cylinder. Plus the exhaust pipes so close the engine and obstructing the frame where I could possibly weld some brackets. At my age with limited finance feel it's time to say Ciao to "Fat ****" FXSB, cut my losses and maybe find my true love, FLHR which I doted on when living in the UK. Bad move/mistake liking the looks and not the riding experience.
You have a Magical Monday and may your riding be comfortable and trouble free.

Don't give up you'll get there!

Hi Y2K, hang in there! I had my left knee replaced December 2022, and yes, the pain was pretty bad for about 2 weeks after the surgery, stay up on your meds for now. After that, you notice it starts getting better, do everything the doctor and physical therapy tells you to do and you'll be up and around in no time. Don't panic when they take your bandages off to remove your stiches and your leg is all bruised up, all normal. Heal up quickly and get back to it!

Thanks, getting back on the bike is why I opted for the earliest surgery date I could get so I can heal during the winter downtime here in the NW and be ready come spring..

I can't help with your bike mods but I can offer you encouragement. I'm 76 and have 2 new knees and a right hip. Hang in there and do the therapy. The hip did hinder my movement a little bit but I still ride and enjoy my Heritage, good luck!

Default Back to Bagger.

Hi Guy's hope all's well and Trumpty Trump I've let my FXSB go and now the owner of a wrecked FLHRCI 2005, This machine has seen a lot of Gravel rash and kissed the blacktop many times. A wide ball thrown to all, salvaged from Ohio, total loss 2024 and shipped via Qualstar CU to Bulgaria where I purchased in a seriously poor state. Does anyone recognise this machine? The previous owner maybe? I'm finding a hell of a lot of missing parts plus wondering if any unseen modifications can be bought to light. Working on it the other day I noticed both O2 sensors missing hence the loud noise plus missfires when started on day of purchase last week. I cannot get my head round the damage sustained to parts which have suffered severe scrapes, i.e. back of the spot lights, saddle bag clips, all footrests and places almost imposible to be damaged after impact with road or vehicle. Would be nice to connect with previous owner and show him the finished result. Awaiting parts and with Customs paperwork etc., a long haul to return to the road. However I'm onmewayback.
