Default I need a better seat.

Me and this factory 24 Fatboy seat just are not getting along. Got it in October. Um up to just under 2k miles and dang it. My butt is just not making friends with this seat.

I know this is not a touring model. I’ve got my eyes on a road glide or street glide in the future. However I still want to ride this scoot to the beach. From where I live it’s about a 3.5-4 hour trip if you don’t stop. I’m afraid to try it because I’m gonna for about 2-2.5 hours and my cheeks are talking to me. I’m afraid I won’t make it back home. Or I’ll be crippled the next day. I always stop every hour to an hour and a half for a good stretch ect.

Also no matter what I do I keep getting crotch squish. Ugh. I’ve owned about 15 bikes over the years of all kinds. But for some unfortunate reason this seat is just not jiving with me at all. My rump got along better with my 2011 ZX10r sport bike and my RC51 as well as my old Yamaha Roadstar 1700. But I was also a lot younger.

I’m looking for a good “touring” seat for it it’s got to be a two up seat my wife rides with me a lot. I’d like to find one that has the removable driver back rest if possible. I know they are kinda dorky but I’m not a kid anymore. Comfort is more important than looks.

Anyway anybody have any suggestions?

Try a Saddleman seat from Revzilla. You have a no hassle return if you don't like it

Check out C&C custom seats. DON'T CONFUSE IT WITH THAT CC RIDER crap from China.
Like you, I came from big liter bikes, and when I was on my FXDLS I wanted to do day-long rides. I bought the C&C SportTour for mine, had them custom build it in leather. etc. the way I wanted, and it was awesome. I did overnight runs on that bike for 2 more years before I decided to get a touring bike to go across the country. Have C&C on this bike, too.

If someone mentions Corbin, believe them when they tell you that it's the best touring seat on the market.

Your local HD dealer most likely has demo seats. Try a variety and see who the cheeks like best. For me it's the hammock seats. Splurged a couple years back on their heated/cooled hammock and it was a game changer. Tank to tank, no pain, no crotch rot.

I say this over and over again. Call Mean City Cycles before you start down the "new seat" rabbit hole. I've had just about every seat out there. Having a custom tailored seat to your needs is far better than trial an error of every seat on the market. You have to understand, everybody's *** is different, so opinions vary.

I went down the rabbit hole. I have 4 seats for my bike. 2006 Deluxe. The Mustang Vintage Wide is the most comfortable seat I have ever had on my bike, However it did not match my vision of what I was going for on my bike. So I have a LaPera bare bones that I think goes well. But It is not comfortable at all for me, but I love the look.

I’ve also had great luck with Mustang Solo seats.

had one on my sporty back in the day and now have the Mustang 17” WIDE solo on my ‘99 FLSTC.

I’m about 250, 5’7” and I can’t say enough good about the Mustangs.

the wide model lets you basically steer your bike with your *** too

and they have a two-up pad that is sold separately unfortunately and I have no experience to share on how comfortable they are as I’ve always ran the solo seats, I do plan to get one eventually though to have the passenger option. Currently I’m just running the bib.

I’m not 100% if they have a backrest option, but I think I remember seeing one somewhere?

anyway, like most are saying here, every butt is different and I can only provide you with what worked well for me, but I do hope you find your perfect match soon!
