Default New Deuce owner trying to find part

Hey all,

Rookie here, I just got my first Harley and I'm in love she rips

I'm trying to find the bolt that bolts the tank console to the tank, I noticed on the ride home from the shop it started moving so bolt must be in a ditch somewhere.
I'm in the UK so if anyone could put me on to a reliable site or tell me the exact bolt I'd be grateful

BFREE gave you the URL to the HD OEM parts website above. You'll want to save that..

In the future when asking for assistance, things change over the years so for best help it's good to give the year of your bike too...

Also, it's hard to know what you are seeing, so details help, like:

Is it the top screw you are looking for? ie: #2 in the parts pic.

Or one of the four bottom screws? ie: #3 in the parts pic, or #4 in the parts pic.

If you decide to get a replacement at your local hardware store (almost always cheaper than an HD screw/bolt from a dealer), always double check the size. Once in awhile there are misprints and/or mistakes in the parts manuals/sites relative to sizes..

From the website given to you by BFREE.

It's probably a Harley item 3008.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...ion-specs.html

A #10-24 National Coarse threads per inch by 1 1/4"long. Use SS and allen capscrew. What I replaced mine with in an 04 Duece.

It's not metric but English units. #10 is 0.190 diameter or apx 3/16. It's not called 3/16-24 however.

Number screw diameter for are small fastners are identified starting with #. .060 + unlucky 0.013 increments for #0-80 (0.060 diameter) thru 12 and are first fraction size is 1/4.
