my fuel caps dont vent,the tanks vent through a pipe coming out of top of the right tank.
the tanks share fuel via a bottom pipe.
only mentioning as no one seems to have properly covered fuel starvation etc.(a common theme for old bikes i find)
ive also had to replace the fuel swith on mine as it had been heavily attacked by someone before me and i had no reserve at all.
sorry if im barkling up wrong tree,im only learning harley from my 99 ,but so far theyre much the same as very basic brit bikes im, finding.
