I purchased a 99 Softail Custom a few years ago. Previous owner installed a Kuriakyn Hyper Charger. The carb needs to be rebuilt but, the mounting bracket bolts are like none I've ever seen. I've tried a wide blade screw driver with no success. Is there a special for these bolts? Thanks!
I would use a 3/8" drive drag link socket coupled to a 3/8" drive handheld impact driver.
The straight cut tip reduces the possibility of cam out that can occur when using a tapered tip screwdriver. The impact driver aids in loosening stubborn fasteners. The tip dimensions of my socket are 1/8" wide X 11/16" long. Other sizes are available.
