I have a 23 day shutdown coming up shortly, so riding season is basically over for us. So i got the bikes out to get the ready for winter. Cleaned, oil changed and stabilizer. When i was cleaning and riding the 91, to warm up the oil and get the stabilizer thru the system. Had a real eye opener about a month ago. I went back to the town i grew up in, for a celebration life. I ran into a lot people i hadnt seen since i moved out, 40 years ago. Seeing how everybody had aged, was mind blowing. I could only picture them, as the way i remembered them and im sure they were thinking the same of me.
Im old and I know it. I have lots of gray hair and I earned every one of them. Im in relatively good health and I have a squad of guardian angels that follow me around everywhere I go. They have to work in shifts . 😎
I am contemplating selling the ElectraGlide, and looking at maybe a Road King. A mans got to know his limitations, and the EG is getting to be a big heavy handful for me. I really do hate falling over, despite rocking the technique. 😖 My minimalist Softail Springer stays, however. 👍
When the kids were little, I caught myself sounding like MY dad. That was sobering and shocking all at once! 😳🤣
