16 Heritage oil leak has me stumped

OK I think it's finally fixed. Took it into the dealer last Saturday. They said it was a defective oil filter seal and replaced the filter with a new seal. There was no charge for this since it was just in there for a 3 hole change the prior weekend. We went to pick it up today. When we arrived, it had oil all over the kickstand and the bottom of the primary cover. I had them clean it up before we took it. We decided to do a short ride near the dealership before heading home. So, we did a few mile loop and then stopped to fill up. I checked it at the gas station and it was leaking. We went straight back to the dealer. This time it was obvious where the leak was coming from since it hadn't had time to cover everything. It was the crank position sensor. I showed it to the service manager and he started telling me I could leave it with them since they didn't have someone to look at it while we waited and they would charge a 1/2 hour labor to fix it, blah blah blah. It's a single bolt and an O ring. So I decided to just buy an O ring and do it myself. Then the service manager decided to just swap the O ring himself at no charge. Took him all of 5 minutes. Most of that time was probably getting the tools and a O ring from parts. All in all, I'm happy it's fixed, but I can't believe it took 3 tries to find the real problem.
