Default Fat boy wheels

Hi everyone, I’ve been driving Japanese and triumph motorcycles from around 12yrs old now 61 I’ve bought myself a 2002 fatboy with aftermarket wheels I think they are anyway. I have bought a used original rear wheel or so I have been told and the issue is it doesn’t fit with the spacers I already have is there any information I can give for some much needed help. Also good afternoon from Scotland.

the issue you have is the aftermarket wheels are sealed bearing and the stock wheels have 3/4" timken bearings with the seal. so you need to get spacers that will work with timken bearings. they sit inside the seal.

The wheel you bought is not an original wheel for an 02 Fatboy, it is a wheel for 1990-1999 Fatboy, not a direct fit.

@multihdrdr is the wheel swap expert
perhaps he`ll chime in

In the mean time I`d start by measuring the hub width of both wheels

Correct, tapered rollers are 3/4" ID
Sealed roller are 1" or 25mm depending on year

2000 onwards wheels of this design are neither rare nor costly, I suggest to get one instead of dragging on the headache yours may cause down the road. Best, niv
