Default Plug For 03 FLSTC What Is It For?

Is the plug number 14 originally for the fuel injection? It doesnt say what it is it just says plug, and it also has a rubber plug in the center of it to seal it up. My bike is 03 FLSTC.

It says Data Link Connector directly above the connector. Used for tuning, reading codes, etc. on efi bikes.

Yeah, the Data Link Connector should have a (black) plug in it. It should be a
4-pin Deutsch connector (often gray) and uses the J1850 communication protocol.
I think the CAN-bus style is 6-pin and in-production on some 2012 models
(but I could be wrong).

T.

I know Softails went to the Canbus in 2011, I believe Dynas went to the Canbus in 2012. Touring didn't go to the Canbus until the Rushmore bikes in 2014....

It's for a tech to plug in and check the electronic doo-hickeys on the bike. Or...it's for you to jam a paper clip in to make your engine light flash and then read the codes.
