Maybe I'll get this new Speedo
Part of its charm is that it tells you what gear you're in. Down-side, there is no way to pre-load existing mileage, so your ODO starts from mile-one again when this goes in.
MSRP $449.00
It is made by Advanced Accessories Corp, marketed by Kuryakyn.
This gauge is a drop in replacement for late model HD. Plug and play installation. The gauge maintains all of the stock warning lights and functionality (including security and cruise for equipped models), and also includes the following features:
·Battery / Alternator voltage
·Ambient air temperature
·Odometer with re-settable trip
·Speedometer
·Tachometer (numeric and graphic!)
·Billet 6061 Aluminum Housing
·High quality pixilated LCD Display
·“Always On” backlight with inverse function for night use
·Thermostatic heater to prevent lethargic LCD operation
But our bikes should be an expression of what we like and if it makes you happy go for it.

I don't like it for a HD. I like the looks of instruments ect with sweep hands, the stock speedo or the HD nostalgic replacements, the meat thermometer oil temp ,etc. I don't see my bike as a high tech machine. I think part of the charm of riding a HD is the "old world styling" or " retro" looks that they have with the improved reliability of years past.. If I wanted all the tech stuff I'd buy another brand. Although I did install the Flush Mount Gas Cap and LED Fuel gauge because I liked the "flush mount" to the tank and the way it changed the look.
Imay be flamed for this, but 2 out of 3 kuryaken electrical products I bought failed after a month or 2. They don't warrenty electrical, and I personally wont buy kuryaken electrical, although their hardware seems realy good.
If you like theKury gas cap and fuel/battery gauge in that pic I would think that gauge would be a natural fit. But if your just looking for a new.modern gauge style check out Zippers/Thunder Max, they make one like that but the readouts are in red. And Dakota Digital that has the readouts in a kind of a blue/green.
If only someone would design/build/market an ANALOG (traditional/Retro) gauge with a subtle, but enlarged LCD area (for the extra goodies that can be extracted from the ECU data bus) I'd be all-in.
Thanks (as always) for your feedback and, of course, your honesty!!
