Yes, replacement insert is about $3-4 @ JP I believe. And they have all kinds of seat screws, too. And I ordered my barebone way too early and had to wait 2-3 months. Quality is very good. Seat pan is metal, not plastic (OEM).
Alright, I need help here, I found a dealer on the bay that has pretty good prices on the bare bones,, but I wrote and asked if it was side or rear mount, he said it was side. Is there a special seat that rear mount? I can't seem to get a clear answer and LePera's site says absolutely nothing.
The seat you're looking for is:
LePera part # LK-007.... nogel
part# LGK-007 .... with gel
Part # is on LePera web site
Got mine from here... good price, good service.
Edit:
BTW...if you're planning on going with a passenger pillion (according toLePera) theywon't be shipping any of those for the 200 tire bikes until 02/08.
I've been watching that dealer that you posted, but am I crazy or does that piture look wrong? His pic does not look like the bare bones to me, that's why I was buying from this one.
I've had barebones solos on my last 2 bikes... almost 8 yrs now. If you like the look go for it. If comfort was all we were after we would all be riding Goldwings.
Here is the info from LePera website on the Silhouettewww.lepera.com
More of a rounded shape compared to the Bare Bones, the Silhouette Solo creates a stylized line from tank to fender. This seat looks great with our stitch graphics. Pillion bolts directly to Solo.[/align]
I'm sure the one at ACM is the barebones...like I say, it's where I bought mine from.
From what I've read on here, Eastern is a good choice as a vendor also.
So... either one should be fine to deal with.
