No, those mufflers aren't for a dresser. If it was the mounting bolts would be all the way at the end of the muffler so they would bolt up to the bottom of the dresser bags.
On your last pic...is that the support tube that can be seen just under the muffler? Does the hole on your support tube line up anywhere near that three-sided bracket that is bolted to your muffler? It looks like the hole on the bracket is too low....how about drilling a new hole if the support hole and the muffler bracket are lined up? Just an idea in case you can't get your money back.
Another suggestion would be to get some flat aluminum or steel stock from Home Depot or Lowe's, drill holes to match your support tube holes, then drill holes to match the one on the muffler bracket.

I did exchange the mufflers for something different. Honest truth is that, even if I did get the mounting bracket to line up right, it seemed a little odd to only have one bolt mounting the muffler to the frame. Given the vibrating those things can do, I wasn't sure that sounded good anyway.

So I've got a pair of slash down cycleshacks with steel wool wrapped baffles on order. Here's another funny part of this whole exhaust problem I've been dealing with. The V&H marketing picture for these pipes shows a Heritage Springer with fringe on the bottom of the saddlebag, so I can't actually see where the pipe mounts on the motorcycle. Every other pipe I looked at when at the dealership showed a Springer Classic with no saddlebags, so I could easily see how the pipes mount.

In any case, I figure the steel wool wrapped baffles will give me a sound level similar to what the V&H pipes with quiet baffles do on my Sportster. That's the biggest pain about ordering pipes. Just guessing at whether they will give you the sound you want.

Just a quick conclusion to this one. I got the Cycle Shacks this week and put them on this morning. I think they will be just right. The sound is good at lower speeds, but once I get up to highway speeds they aren't loud enough to cut through the wind noise. Of course, the most important part is that they actually fit when I went to install them.

I'm pretty pleased with them, I like the style better, and they cost less than the Vance and Hines. It was a win, win, win solution.
